SALA’s Action-Packed Week: April 23-28

SALA Los Alamos Event Center is excited to present a week filled with engaging events for the community. From educational experiences to captivating film screenings and fun-filled activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Tuesday, April 23:

• Coderdojo at 4 pm: Kickstarting the week, Coderdojo offers participants the chance to explore the world of coding and unleash their creativity.

Thursday & Friday, April 25 & 26:

• Film Screening: “Civil War” at 1 pm and 6 pm: Experience the gripping drama of the new 2024 film “Civil War” and dive into history with screenings at 1 pm and 6 pm.

Saturday & Sunday, April 27 & 28:

• “Cosmic Frontiers” Event: Explore the realms of science with a screening of the 1991 film on Hawking, followed by a captivating Q&A session with the filmmakers. Learn about scientific advancements since then and hear personal stories about Hawking. Don’t miss book signings and stargazing on Saturday night!

Saturday, April 27:

• YMCA Midnight Movies at 11 pm: Offering a safe and supervised after-dance activity for high school teens, whether they attend Prom or not. With free admission, it’s the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a movie night with friends.
