Cheslie’s mother, April Simpkins, witnessed her daughter’s private struggles and received a heartbreaking text from her before her tragic death by suicide. In their memoir, By the Time You Read This, co-written by Simpkins, they share Cheslie’s inner turmoil and the impact of her passing.
