On Friday, April 19, the celebrated pop icon unveiled her long-awaited album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘.

In a move that stunned fans worldwide, Grammy-winning pop sensation Taylor Swift, aged 34, revealed a surprise twist just two hours after the midnight release of her highly anticipated album, “The Tortured Poets Department”. Swift took to Instagram in the early hours to announce that her latest body of work is, in fact, a double album.

The rollout of “The Tortured Poets Department” has been shrouded in mystery, captivating Swift’s dedicated fanbase. Prior to the album’s release, Swift collaborated with Spotify to host a pop-up exhibit in Los Angeles, teasing fans with subtle clues and hints about the record’s content.

Mysterious murals began appearing across the United States, including in Chicago, where a QR code on the mural linked to a YouTube Short featuring cryptic typewriter-like text and Swift’s signature lucky number, 13.

Swift initially dropped the bombshell announcement of her eleventh studio album during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she won her 13th Grammy. Expressing gratitude to her fans, Swift teased details of her secret project, which had been brewing for two years.

The day after the album’s announcement, Swift revealed the official tracklist. Side A features tracks such as “Fortnight,” “The Tortured Poets Department,” and “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys,” while Side B includes “So Long, London” and “But Daddy I Love Him”.
