Carlos Armando Uicab Chalé was a renowned musician, conductor, arranger and director of the Banda de Música del Estado de Yucatán.

He began his career as a musician at a very young age as a trumpeter, an artistic advisor at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and a teacher at the State Center of Fine Arts (CEBA). He was the founder of the Music Orchestra of the Mérida City Council, as well as a member of the Orchestra of the Ministry of Public Security and of the Orquesta Típica Yukalpetén, for which he made more than 80 arrangements.

In his musical career he was part of several groups such as Satélites Musicales, Los Riviera, the Olegario Duarte Orchestra, Sonora del Caribe and several jaraneras orchestras.
